RIS Technical Training (Day 7) – Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for MSMEs & Freelancer

“Success will not last if you do not take care of it.”

– Henry Sy

Have you ever noticed that rectangular bar on your browser? Where you will usually type the URL to a website or basically “ask” “the internet” what you are looking for? That is your search engine. It is a form of artificial intelligence created by developers to answer your queries. Search engines gather or track information from anybody to know their preferences or most sought for information. This is where SEO or search engine optimization comes in.

Search engine optimization basically means how search engines such as Google, Bing or Yahoo (and other search engines for that matter) would track and provide your website’s information and provide it to your target market. Website owners would want to top the ranking on search engines, because it is pretty rare for netizens to surf beyond page 1 or the search results.
