Rural Impact Sourcing Technical Training (RISTT) is now on its 5th day. During this training, we were then introduced to the different laws a content creator should know. Freelancer / contractor could not keep a copy, sell or share anything from the database of clients or MSME without explicit and documented content. Also known as the Data Privacy Law, it is stipulated that all data gathered are owned by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise owners.

Data Privacy Policy

Something all websites must have. It is a way of collecting customer data. If Data Privacy Policy is found in your websites, it establishes trust with site visitors especially those contemplating if they want to share data with the website owners or not.

E-COMMERCE MARKETING PRACTICES

E-COMMERCE MERCHANTS

  • Are required to adapt a fair and reasonable business practice.
  • Sell products that would meet quality and safety guidelines.
  • Need to have the necessary permits or license that would authorize them to market in their country. (section 3)
  • Need to refrain from any deceptive, false or misleading advertisement. (section 4)
  • Required to disclose business identity and information including business registration number and the likes.
