RIS Technical Training (Day 3) – Product Photography

Third day of training and the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) owners bought their products to be photographed. There was a definite buzz in the air as Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) owners and scholars learned about product photography.

Product Photography

            It is basically a specific technique in showcasing products through quality images to find ways in enticing potential buyers to purchase products. These images are the key element of branding.

  • Types of Images
  1. Product Images – usually use white background and is most commonly found in website. These images are able to describe your product at a glance and are best suited for product pages. It also nurtures your page visitors to make a purchase. It also has a higher rate of conversion.
  2. In Context Images – usually used for Social Media posting, blog posts, emails and other marketing channels on top of your conversion funnel. This is usually used for services or images for specific purposes.

BASIC PRODUCTS / EQUIPMENT NEEDS:

  1. Setting up background and products.
  2. Get lighting source.
  3. Use a tripod. (consistency, stability, and focus is the key)
  4. Pick the right camera (there are tips found)
  5. Don’t forget post-processing

 

The scholars’ knowledge about WordPress.com was enhanced and it now include image upload and editing. We were also introduced to Zoho which is an online Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software used to managing sales, marketing & support in a single system,  and the basic how tos of using Google Analytics which is an analytics tool used to measure ROIs.
